Litha Offering braid & ritual kit

These Litha offering braids have been lovingly handmade using a mixture of cotton thread, ribbon and lace.
This kit includes a Litha braid, Litha offering herbs (rose petals, lavender and mugwort), two spell candles and a ritual to follow. The idea is that you perform the Litha ritual with your braid and then it can be hung in your home, in your sacred space or outdoors in your garden.
For the making of these braids I use a lucet, which is a braiding fork. The lucet has been used for centuries to make braids for shoelaces, belts and corsets. It was known to have been used during the Viking period. 
For this braid I have used macrame cotton in a beige tone and then a three thin cotton thread in green, orange and coral to represent the colours of summer and Litha. Once woven I attach a green and orange satin ribbon and a lace bow. Four small bells are also added. If you wish to you could tie on further trinkets to the other remaining tassels.
